      Join Grace Ede, Ohio University, and Linsey Sledge Hugo, Athena Data Company, to examine the strategy and process for implementing a required internship immersion program within the College of Business. Launched in 2017, this program has successfully supported and served 900+ students. Through critical reflection and assessment, 94% of participants reported finding value in participation of the program. Explore program components, benefits, barriers, and considerations to determine if an internship immersion is a match for your institution and gain strategies to streamline the process.

      Following this program, you will be able to:

      • Explore components of the internship immersion process;
      • Examine suitability of required internship immersion programming for your institution;
      • Analyze benefits and risks of required internship immersion programming; and 
      • Identify solutions to mitigate challenges and improve institutional outcomes.

      During this one-hour webinar, the presenter will deliver a synchronized audio and PowerPoint presentation. Participants will have time for live Q&A throughout the program and may be asked to contribute opinions or feedback via live chat, virtual polling, and other mechanisms.

      Grace Ede

      Grace Ede, Associate Director of Career Management, Ohio University, College of Business

      Grace Ede, as the College of Business’ Associate Director for Career Management, implemented numerous career and student success initiatives. She also has worked to improve and refine innovative content for career strategies courses and supported countless students in one-on-one coaching workshops. Ede received her bachelor of specialized studies from Ohio University's University College. Ede became a two-time Ohio University graduate when she completed her master of education.

      Linsey Hugo

      Linsey Sledge Hugo, Strategy & Analytics Consultant, Athena Data Company

      Linsey Sledge Hugo is currently the Strategy & Analytics Consultant at Athena Data Company. More recently, she led the study on predicting student employment through machine learning at Ohio University. She received an interdisciplinary master of science in higher education and analytics. Before joining Ohio University, Hugo was a strategy consultant at Deloitte LLP, serving higher education and nonprofit. Now, at Athena Data Company, she analyzes data to support higher education.

      Continuing Education Clock Hours:

      NBCC – 1 clock hour; Credit will be issued to the named registrant and/or colleagues from the same organization upon verification of attendance by the named registrant.
