Are you interested in exploring an innovative approach to collaboration with your state or regional workforce development agencies? Would you like to uncover a new employer base and discover new funding sources for your career development office?
Join Scott Maynard, Florida State University to discover innovative strategies for employer development through your Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development Authority. Securing a motivated workforce does not happen by accident; it is an intentional process. Opportunities abound by working with the Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development Authority in your region or state. They may control or have access to grant funding or other resources to help expand your job shadow, part-time, internship, co-op and full-time opportunities for students or alumni. A relationship with these agencies will provide a pool of employer volunteers for events or activities as well as create a strong advocate for engaging your campus with the community. Leveraging these relationships creates a win-win for everyone.
