      For Disney Internships and Programs, an extensive operation, a team of remote recruiters are used to assess applications of prospective employees. Jeff Hickman, manager, Disney Colleges and International Recruiting, examines how to effectively lead a remote team.

      Attendees will review how Disney’s program uses continuous training opportunities to maintain both quality and cohesion amongst the team. Learn how to effectively lead remote teams through connectivity methods and best practices training for team building.

      Jeff Hickman

      Jeff Hickman, Manager, Disney College & International Recruiting, The Walt Disney Company

      Jeff Hickman is a 19-year employee of the Walt Disney Company, and has spent his last 13 years with the Disney Internships and Programs Recruitment team.

      Hickman began his career with the Walt Disney Company as an assistant manager with the Disney Stores, Inc. in 1998. In 2000, he relocated to Florida and assumed a retail guest service manager position at Downtown Disney. Hickman first joined the college recruiting team in the fall of 2004. During his time with the team, he held various recruiter and leadership roles. Hickman’s current position is manager of college recruitment, and includes leading faculty relations responsibilities and managing a team of remote, salaried HR professionals.

      Hickman holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Rowan University. Additionally, he earned his master’s degree in tourism and hospitality management from Temple University.

      Hickman currently resides in Central Florida with his wife and two daughters.
