• Summary

  Are you an office of one or two? Are you interested in gaining the coaching skills and strategies needed to help your students reframe their thinking about the career development process?

  Join NACE for Virtual Assessments for Coaching Intensive I! In this full-day content rich webcast, attendees have the opportunity to dive deep into to the world of assessments. Learners will explore assessments and applicability in higher education and businesses and organizations to gain a solid understanding of how assessments can enhance the coach/client relationship resulting in positive outcomes. Attendees will examine the coaching process and gain strategies to provide specific and purposeful feedback as part of a comprehensive coaching plan.

  Following this program, you will be able to:

  • Identify existing factors affecting the coaching process: client support system, attitude and social factors;
  • Establish appropriate career goals based on client preference and assessment results;
  • Assist client in correlating stated goals and current state;
  • Evaluate assessment tools for purpose, appropriateness, and accessibility; and
  • Select appropriate assessments based on client scenario review.

  Knowledge Assessment: Upon successful completion and participation in the NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive I workshop, named registrants who wish to receive a certificate of completion will be provided instructions to complete the online NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive I Knowledge Assessment. The assessment consists of 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions.

  Attendees scoring an 88 percent or better on the assessment will receive the NACE Assessments for Coaching Intensive I Certificate of Completion. Successful completion of the workshop and obtaining the certificate of completion can be used in part (7.5 hours) to meet the training requirements for the Board Certified Coach credential offered through the Center for Credentialing and Education.

• Format

  Webcast: During this full-day Live webinar, presenter will deliver a synchronized audio and PowerPoint presentation through direct instruction. Participants will have time for live Q&A throughout the program and may be asked to contribute opinions or feedback via live chat, virtual polling, and other mechanisms.

  Please note, this session will not be recorded or available following the session as on-demand offering. **

  Program design and meets the required 7.5 hours of training required for the Board-Certified Coach Credential using direct instruction. **

  Imants Jaunarajs, Assistant Vice President, Ohio University - Career Services

  Imants Jaunarajs serves as the assistant vice president at Ohio University. With more than 17 years of experience in university career centers, Jaunarajs is a creator of innovative and outcome-driven career development best practices. He is also the creator of the cutting-edge theoretical model Brain-Based Career Development, and, along with colleagues, regularly trains and consults staff across on the country on effectively infusing neuroscience into career and leadership development practice. Jaunarajs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Earlham College and Master of Arts from Western Michigan University. He is the author of "Brain-Based Career Development" and "Goal Pursuit for Students, Staff, and Organizations," both published by NACE.
