Erika McMullen (she/her) is founder and CEO of Moxie Consulting Group, LLC, where she empowers leaders to create high performing, diverse, and inclusive teams and workplaces. After 20+ years of experience at the nation’s leading companies, she knows what truly drives inclusion and organizational success, and it’s not just bias training. Erika knows how to shift problems into possibilities and change practices to transform organizations. With Erika’s contributions, organizations have been named as “America’s Best Employers for Diversity” by Forbes Magazine, received the Innovations in Diversity & Inclusion award from Profiles in Diversity Journal, and been selected by Diversity, Inc. as one of the nation’s Top 10 Hospitals and Health Systems. Moxie Consulting Group is certified as a small, women, and minority-owned business and trusted across a variety of industries nationwide. Most recently, Erika has advised Allstate, Great American Insurance Group, Keck Medicine of University of Southern California, National Apartment Association, and The Nature Conservancy Virginia. Erika holds a M.A. Ed. & H.D. in Organizational Leadership and Learning from the George Washington University and a B.H.S.A. from Florida International University. Erika also earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Clinical Research from the University of Cincinnati. She is a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Certified DISC Behavioral Styles and EQ Facilitator. Erika serves on the Board of Trustees for Riverside School, which transforms the lives of students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. She currently resides in Virginia with her family.

Marlena Ward-Dodds, Instructional Designer, Moxie Consulting Group, LLC

Dr. Marlena Ward-Dodds is a teacher, trainer, change agent, innovator, coach, and servant leader with over 20 years of successful professional experience that includes entrepreneur, college professor, insurance professional, training and development consultant, and instructional design consultant. Awarded one of the Top 10 Adjunct Faculty at Concordia University in 2015 and 2018, respectively serves as lead business instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). Dr. Marlena has in-depth experience as an online instructional design consultant. She provides curriculum design, training, and development for professionals. Additionally, she has created and conducted workshops nationally and internationally for adult learners and business professionals. Dr. Marlena received her BA in Political Science and Law Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, an MBA in Risk Management and a M.Ed. in Educational Design Technology from Concordia University, an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction and an Ed.D. in Instructional Design & Technology from Liberty University. Her research interests include Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and inclusive pedagogy for adult online learners. Dr. Marlena is just as passionate about social responsibility as she is with her professional endeavors. She has served on diversity, equity, and inclusion committees in higher education and has volunteered at her church. Marlena is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. In her downtime, Dr. Marlena enjoys time with her family and friends. She is also an avid reader and enjoys live music.
