• Salary Survey: Top-Paying Industries for the Class of 2013

    By a wide margin, mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction is the top-paying industry for Class of 2013 college graduates, according to results of NACE’s April 2013 Salary Survey.

    These employers paid new graduate hires starting salaries that average $84,182, more than $25,000 greater than the next four top-paying majors. This cluster—separated by just $4,000—includes the second highest-paying industry, management of companies and enterprises ($56,955), followed by construction ($56,837), manufacturing ($55,084), and finance and insurance ($52,875).
