  • AI: Friend or Foe?

  • Summary

    Who shapes the future of work and drives the AI bandwagon? What are the implications for graduating students and employees?

    We’re told AI and related technology will usher in a golden age of creative work for everyone, eliminate human bias in decision making, and help us all be more productive. Yet, major companies have been forced to reevaluate following implementation due to unforeseen bias recognition surfacing. Through examination of actual case studies, join Chris Miciek, from Thomas Jefferson University, to explore the hopes, the hype, the challenges, and how we can be active builders of the future we need rather than the passive recipients of someone else’s vision.

    Following this program, you will be able to:

    • Examine trends emerging in the field of technology;
    • Identify key components that will change the way we navigate the future work force;
    • Articulate challenges and barriers within higher education and business; and
    • Explore measures that support the use of human-centered practices.
