Ingalls Shipbuilding, along with several other organizations, have partnered with Fort Hood and Central Texas College to create industry specific training programs to train outgoing soldiers during the last part of their active duty. The program, Soldiers for Life, creates a tremendous opportunity for educators and employers to work together to take the skills inherent in veterans and prepare them for the next phase of their career. The program provides this transition while the soldier is still active, minimizing the pain of transition for the soldier and the employer.
As employers, we are always looking for disciplined, engaged, loyal, and well-trained candidates. The Soldiers for Life program presents organizations with the opportunity to expand their outreach to outgoing soldiers, before they make their final destination decisions and this program has the possibility of providing thousands of candidates every month.
