Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) are higher education institutions that serve minority populations. Among them are Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), Asian American and Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AAPISIs). Because MSI’s are ripe with high quality diverse talent, recruitment professionals include MSIs in their engagement strategies more and more to advance company diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. In doing so, they have discovered MSIs vary in mission, location, student body profile, and more.
NACE’s 2024 MSI Showcase seeks to better understand HSIs and recruiting Latino students from any school. For employers and colleges interested in better understanding how to recruit and serve a high-quality diverse workforce, this event will provide the opportunity to:
Discovering Talent at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs)

HSIs have significant volumes of Hispanic and Latino students – at least 25% of the student body. Many HSIs partner with the US Department of Education’s (DOE) HSI Division in ways that enhance student experiences and support efforts to connect them with employers. During this event, leaders from HSIs and the DOE’s HSI Division will highlight how they work together and how HSIs are gems for top talent.
