Branding is not a new concept. Strong brands are easily recognizable, and the really good ones bring us a feeling of comfort and familiarity. So why brand yourself? For one thing in this day and age of social media it can’t be avoided. If you are using social media, you have a brand. What is it saying about you? What is it saying about your students? Secondly, a well-developed personal brand can open the door to opportunities for you and your students. Most importantly, we as professionals need to dedicate regular time to improve our brand and be career ready.
