Summary

As university relations and recruiting professionals, we can create relationships with underclassmen by sharing our company’s brand and exploring opportunities available throughout their college career. At Vanguard, we have created a program to attract and identify early talent called EXPLORE. The one-day event provides students with a realistic job preview; a glimpse into our industry and corporate culture; and a chance to develop professionally through customizable workshops, presentations, and networking forums with professionals across the organization. For employers, the program creates a diverse pool of talent for recruiting relationships and contributes to retention efforts. For attendees, those who spent several hours exploring our organization felt confident in their post-graduate commitment to it.

Following this program, you will be able to:

Apply a plan to engage stakeholders from across the organization;
Construct an early talent identification program and find ways to customize the day to match the needs of the target audience and attract diverse talent to the event; and
Identify how to leverage data from the event to not only measure success, but to also improve future recruiting, branding, and event-planning strategies.
