Pers Dev Series: Effectively Communicate Improv

Summary

In this webinar, you will participate in an interactive lecture and series of improvisation-based exercises led by professional improvisers. By the end of the webinar, you will have learned and practiced how to use verbal and non-verbal techniques to enhance your interpersonal communication skills, build rapport more quickly, and establish trust with others. During the webinar, presenters from improve it! will convey the theme that “what you say and what you don’t say affects how others listen and respond” by incorporating improvisation activities. After each activity, we will debrief and relate it back to the key message. Participants will then write an action plan based on each activity.

Following this program, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate verbal communication and active listening;
  • Identify negative listening patterns and examine the best way to correct the patterns; and
  • Discover the importance of non-verbal communication and taking responsibility for non-verbal cues.

Presenters: Erin Diehl, Founder/CEO, improve it!, LLC and Allison Keller, Director of Operations, improve it!, LLC
