The National Association of Colleges and Employers joined with other higher education associations in asking Congress to pass legislation that will provide permanent protection for Dreamers—young, undocumented individuals who were brought to the United States as children.
In a letter to the 117th Congress, the higher education associations cited recent decisions in a federal district court in Texas and by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals that have left some Dreamers in legal limbo and called for bipartisan action.
