At the end of June, NACE joined with the American Council on Education and other higher education associations in a letter to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) regarding provisions contained in the Senate reconciliation titles proposed by the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) and Committee on Finance. The letter expressed concerns about the funding cuts, policy changes, and tax increases.
